An up-armored Leopard 1A5 tank belonging to the Ukrainian army’s 5th Heavy Mechanized Brigade shrugged off 52 first-person-view drones in a daylong bombardment, according to a new report from Ukrainian publication Defense Industry.

It’s not a record, but it’s close. Last year, a Russian turtle tank—up-armored with metal plating and drone-detonating aluminum quills—ate more than 70 FPVs before finally succumbing.

The sheer number of FPVs the Russians launched at that one tank speaks to the layers of add-on protection the Ukrainians also add to their tanks. It also speaks to the density of FPVs along the front line.
