A Month Ago It Cost Ukraine $6,000 To Drone A Russian Cargo Truck. Now It Costs $500.
Counterlogistics just got a lot cheaper.
How, all of the sudden, are Ukrainian first-person-view drones ranging 30 miles to strike Russian trucks along the near edge of the logistical zone stretching 150 miles or so behind the disputed gray zone?
The answer, it seems, is startling simple. They’ve apparently got wings. And that’s unlocking a whole new cost-benefit space for Ukrainian drone units. Now medium-range strikes are nearly as cheap as short-range strikes are.
That’s a big deal. It means the Ukrainians can drone more valuable targets more often.
