A Ukrainian drone team. 45th Artillery Brigade.

The Russian 51st Combined Arms Army has broken through Ukrainian lines northeast of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast. It broke through without, it seems, deploying a single tank.

Marching right past unoccupied Ukrainian trenches around the village of Nove Shakhove, a few miles northeast of the besieged fortress city of Pokrovsk, small groups of Russian troops walked nine miles into the Ukrainian rear in recent weeks.

Now more Russians—marching on foot or riding on motorcycles—are moving into the breach.
