Probably lots.

The Ukrainian air force lost three Mikoyan MiG-29 fighters on or just before June 27.

One of the twin-engine, supersonic MiGs crashed during a combat mission in Poltava Oblast in central Ukraine. The pilot ejected.

Around the same time, Russian Shahed drones struck two parked MiGs at Voznesensk airfield in Mykolaiv Oblast in southern Ukraine. (See below.)

It’s one of the biggest single-day losses for the war-weary air arm. But the Ukrainians probably still have plenty of MiG-29s. Overall, the air force has added jets at least as fast as it has lost them.

Ukraine went to war in February 2022 with around 125 active fighters. Today thanks to donations, acquisitions and the restoration of grounded jets, it has … probably around 125 active fighters.
