Ukraine May Have Sortied 1/3 Of Its Bombers To Destroy A Key Russian Factory
At least four Sukhoi Su-24s lobbed missiles at a microelectronics plant in Bryansk
On March 10, the Ukrainian air force struck the Kremniy EL microelectronics plant in Bryansk, 60 miles north of Russia’s southern border with Ukraine.
It’s possible as many as seven British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles punched through the roof of the plant, which builds components for air defenses, missiles and drones.
That implies at least four Ukrainian air force Sukhoi Su-24 bombers participated in the raid, as the supersonic Su-24 is the only warplane in Ukrainian service that can carry the 1.5-ton Storm Shadow, which ranges more than 150 miles with a 1,000-pound warhead. We’ve never seen an Su-24 carrying more than two Storm Shadows.
