On the night of Oct. 4, Ukrainian drones swarmed Khanskaya air base in southern Russia 200 miles from the front line in Ukraine. When the sun rose and satellites got a close look at the base, it was apparent the drones had destroyed two parked Russian fighters. Analysis group AviVector concluded they were a Sukhoi Su-34 and a Sukhoi Su-35.
If video from the ground is any indication, the drones in question were MICH 2000s, which are fast becoming specialists among Ukrainian one-way attack drones. Specialists in striking Russian air bases.
