I have followed you for years. This is too much. If you are going to bait and switch, I will cancel. Sorry.

Today I posted two stories in their entirety for paid subscribers. I also posted one partial story that I wrote for another client (other clients pay 80% of my bills) and you call that a bait and switch? Sir, that’s unfair to me and there’s obviously no pleasing you, so if you want to unsubscribe, I understand.

06 Feb 26. Here we go again: WHY, when we pay good money to subscribe to your basic blog, David Axe, do we keep encountering items you PARTLY post there...but when we go to the link at some other Web site, THAT outfit won't let us read the rest of that same article unless we subscribe to THEM??! Kind of sucks.

Because my substack doesn’t pay all my bills (pays about 20%) so I have other clients. Would you prefer I not tell you when I’ve published a piece in another publication?

06 Feb 26. Hi David: No, I was just thinking that it would be convenient if, when a subscriber is reading the start of an article on your substack that you, in fact, had fundamentally provided to a different (paid) outlet, that you could, when you say "Continue reading this on *******", at that point insert a little boldfaced notation saying "(Subscription required)" --- just as a heads-up.
